Samuel Colby sold land to Joseph Peaslee in 1707 (20/117)
Robert dies in 1742. Land is divided by committee between Samuel and Amos. Amos gets the garrison house.
Samuel Peaslee and brother Amos (Robert, Joseph, Joseph) owned land on East Broadway (called Jamaica Path back then).
Amos Peaslee owned the Garrison House and Samuel owned next door. The rest of Robert’s land was separated between the two brothers. (Peaslee and others)
Samuel Peaslee dies in Sept 1757 leaving 20A of land and the easterly 1/2 of the house along Jamaica path to his wife Hannah. The rest of the land was split by committee amongst the extended family. (probate 21704) So house was built between 1742 and 1757.
Alice Blaney received 28A and the westerly side of the house. She sells 27A to Gideon George (114/103) in 1763
Hannah dies in 1770 (will made out in 1767) The land was divided. 2.25 acres and easterly 1/2 of House went to Alice Blaney (sister of Samuel and Amos who married Thomas Blaney of Salem mass in 1742)
One piece (2.25 acres) of land was bounded by Ephraim Elliot’s (previously Amos Peaslee) land (Garrison House) and Jamaica way and the highway. It included 1/2 of the house and part of the barn and also use of part of the barn on Ephriam’s land. Looks like this was given to Hannah. Beginning at s&s bounded by Ephraim Elliot’s land and Jamaica path or way and running easterly 8R0.1R along way then northerly by highway 19.5R then northwesterly by way 6R to s&s then southwesterly by number 2 about 20R to s&S then southeasterly by Elliot’s land 24R to bound first mentioned.
